E-Commerce Survey in Kolaka District

 In March 2023, in addition to the March 2023 National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS), an E-commerce Survey was also held on March 2023. This survey is an annual routine survey conducted by Badan Pusat Statistik with covering businesses that use the internet to receive orders or sell goods and/or services. The sample in this survey includes all household-based business samples in Indonesia, including the sample in Kolaka Regency.

Badan Pusat Statistik of Kolaka Regency deployed nine officers consisting of two PML and seven PCL for this survey. Previously, in mid-February, the recruitment process for these officers was carried out and training was given from 22 February 2023 to 25 March 2023. In March, starting from 1 March 2023-31 March 2023, the main activity of this survey is updating for further sampling and enumeration. The scope of the survey this time is three sub-districts. There are Kolaka, Pomala, and Latambaga.

The results of this survey will be used as a publication to illustrate the state of e-commerce in Indonesia. The information presented in this publication includes the percentage of e-commerce businesses, map of distribution of e-commerce businesses, age group of business owners, types of goods/services that are widely sold, most used payment methods, most frequently used delivery methods, shipping areas, and so on. This information is expected to be useful for the development of e-commerce businesses both regionally and nationally.
