Abstraction
  • The combined inflation of the 2 CPI cities in Southeast Sulawesi in February 2021 was recorded at 0.03 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 104.77.
  • Kendari City experienced deflation of 0.11 percent while Baubau City experienced inflation of 0.53 percent with CPI of 104.91 and 104.41, respectively.
  • Inflation occurred due to an increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco category by 0.39 percent; health group 0.37 percent; clothing and footwear group 0.04 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group at 0.01 percent; as well as the information, communication and financial services group of 0.003 percent. Groups that experienced deflation were among others the group of equipment, tools and routine household maintenance at 0.54 percent; recreation, sports, and culture 0.46 percent; personal care and other services group 0.40 percent; transportation group 0.24 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuels group at 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the education group did not experience change / was relatively stable.
  • Commodities contributing to inflation include selar fish / tude fish, flying fish / benggol fish, mackerel / mackerel / banyar fish / gembolo fish / aso-aso fish, milkfish / sponge fish, and kale.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation include cayenne pepper, air transport, eggs, shallots, and perfume.
