The beginning of August opened with the Release of the Kolaka Regency Consumer Price Index for July 2024, Thursday (1/8). This release began at 13.00 WITA at the Kolaka Regency BPS Meeting Room. In addition, this release was also broadcast live on the Kolaka Regency BPS Youtube channel.
This event was opened and hosted by the Head of the Kolaka Regency BPS, Ade Ida Mane, S.ST., M.Sc., and attended by representatives from related agencies. Kolaka Regency's year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation was 1.77 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.93. Meanwhile, Kolaka Regency's month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation was 0.53 percent.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 7 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.41 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.03 percent; transportation group by 1.35 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 5.40 percent; education group by 0.10 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.14 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.86 percent.
Meanwhile, groups experiencing y-on-y deflation were: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.44 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.02 percent; health group by 0.09 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by 0.29 percent.
