September opened with the release of the Kolaka Regency Consumer Price Index for August 2024, Monday (2/9). This release began at 13.30 WITA at the Kolaka Regency BPS Meeting Room. This release event was also broadcast live on the BPS Kolaka Regency Youtube channel.
This event was opened and hosted by the Head of BPS Kolaka Regency, Ade Ida Mane, S.ST., M.Sc., and attended by representatives from related agencies. Kolaka Regency's year on year (y-on-y) inflation was 1.95 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.92. Meanwhile, for August 2024, Kolaka Regency experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.01 percent.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 7 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.59 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.03 percent; transportation group by 1.53 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 5.47 percent; education group of 0.10 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.14 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 4.35 percent.
Meanwhile, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.44 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.02 percent; health group by 0.09 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.44 percent.
