Southeast Sulawesi's NTP in July 2022 was recorded at 100.10 or decreased by 0.58 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 100.68.
The decrease in NTP was due to an increase in the price index received by farmers (It) by 0.66 percent, lower than the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) by 1.24 percent.
Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The NTP of each subsector is listed as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 95.85; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 115.23; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTPR) 95.85; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 112.19 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 106.56. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 104.25 or decreased by 1.61 percent from the previous month's 105.96.
