The beginning of the month of Ramadan which coincides with the month of March was opened with the Release of the Kolaka Regency Consumer Price Index for February 2024, Monday (3/3). This release began at 13.30 WITA at the Kolaka Regency BPS Meeting Room. This release event was also broadcast live on the Kolaka Regency BPS Youtube channel.
This event was opened and hosted by the Head of the Kolaka Regency BPS, Ade Ida Mane, S.ST., M.Sc., and attended by representatives from OPDs and related vertical agencies. In February 2025, Kolaka Regency's year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation was 0.16 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.62 and month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.09 percent.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 9 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.77 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 1.40 percent; health group by 0.08 percent; transportation group by 0.90 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 1.35 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 5.70 percent; education group by 1.23 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.39 percent; and personal care and other services group by 9.73 percent.
